{Personal} TGIW

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

You may be wondering why anyone would be excited about a Wednesday… You would be, too, if you got to hang out with this handsome little man!

How could I not take out my camera for this face??

I woke him up accidentally with my loud shutter. He wasn’t happy.

But then he forgave me :)

He is such a perfect 50/50 blend of his mom and dad, especially this shot.

Love those long lashes :)

I asked him what he thought about Anthony Reyes’ pitching last night…

…Or maybe I just caught him making a funny face  :)

{Wedding} Katie & Daniel

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I can’t believe this is our 4th wedding of the year, and it’s our first April wedding- weird! Anyway, Chad and I had a great time with Katie, Daniel, and their family and friends. And talk about a beautiful day- Katie couldn’t believe she had a June wedding in April :)

We started the day at St. Peter the Apostle Church in Brook Park. After the ceremony, we had lots of time for photos and made a few stops along the way to Carrie Cerino’s. We did most of our shooting in Berea; it was a first for us, but it won’t be the last. The whole area was so quaint! Enjoy the preview!

I don’t know what it is about this first shot, but I really really like it :)

Here’s some of what Chad was capturing while I was with Katie.

Here’s Daniel and his best man, talking to the priest, just moments before the ceremony.

Always a beautiful moment.

Our first stop- Olmsted Falls.

Onto Berea. I could have shot here for hours!

(A big thank you to the bridal party!! Everyone was so laid back and up for every shot.)

This was a very special moment- most of Daniel’s family traveled from Russia to attend the wedding. Daniel gave a quick speech in Russian to say thank you.

The first dance.

Thank you, Katie and Dan, for welcoming us in to document your day.

{Senior Session} Baili

Tuesday, April 28th, 2009

I had another wonderful senior session on Friday- Baili was so much fun to work with! We had perfect weather and great light the whole time. Enjoy the preview!

Such a great smile!

Thanks again, Baili, for a great shoot! :)

{Engagement} Angela & Tony

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

Out of nowhere, last Saturday was 70 degrees and sunny. I couldn’t have been happier since I was scheduled to shoot Angela and Tony’s engagement session. We shot all along Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls- what a great location! We’ve been up there with bridal parties, but this was my first portrait session in the area.

Tony and Angela are so sweet, and were open to literally every idea I had. I’m so thankful to have clients who are so laid back and up for anything! These two were so comfortable in front of the camera- it made my job easy!

Angela and Tony are very good at cuddling :)

Workinit.

Can’t wait for your June wedding! Thanks again Angela & Tony!

{Wedding} Vanessa & Todd

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

This post is long overdue! I’m so excited to share these photos with you! Vanessa and Todd are such amazing people, and their wedding day was one I would shoot all over again :) The majority of their day was spent at The Spread Eagle Tavern. This was such a unique venue with so much character (It was built in the 1830s!). Vanessa planned out plenty of time for photos and we didn’t waste one second of it. We also had the opportunity to work side-by-side with an awesome videography team! Bob and Krista of Focus On You Video were so easy to work with. If you’re a bride- definitely check them out!! They rock!

Todd and Vanessa, we can’t thank you enough for your amazing hospitality and for trusting us to capture your special day! We had a wonderful time with you and can’t wait to see you again!

Before I get started with the photos- I just have to say that Vanessa has the most amazing smile! I’m pretty sure she had a smile on her face the whole entire day :)

While I was with Vanessa, Chad met up with Todd while he was getting ready for the day.

Pink shoes :)

Because of the timeline of the day, it worked out best to do portraits before the ceremony. Vanessa and Todd had a very emotional moment of first sight.

Right after their first sight they exchanged gifts, and I was able to capture this beautiful moment:

Onto the “formals”!

Prior to the wedding day, Vanessa had told me about the tavern and surrounding area. I had very high expectations of the venue and scenery and they were well surpassed!

Wedding day + ring bearer + lots of time smiling for photos =

We wrapped it up at the tavern/inn and made our way to the church.

Impromptu photobooth session with the bride, her parents, bridesmaids, and flower girls? Yes, thank you, that sounds lovely.

The pastor leading a prayer before the ceremony… and Jacob being extremely cute :)

The best part of Todd and Vanessa’s wedding day was that it was so personal and unique! One example: Vanessa’s daughter and niece played dulcimers as guests were seated.

:) !!

After the ceremony, we had some time to shoot with just Todd and Vanessa…

The Grand Entrance!

The night ended with heartfelt toasts, surrounded by their closests friends and family.

Thank you so much, Todd and Vanessa!!!
