{Senior Session} Kris

Friday, May 15th, 2009

Before I sat down to write this, I was trying to figure out how long I have known Kris. It’s funny to think about this, but I believe he was about 10 years old when we met. If he looks familiar, it’s because his brother is Josh, whom I photographed many times :) (From engagement session, to wedding, to the birth of their baby boy- who also makes frequent appearances on the blog!). Kris was great in front of the camera! I felt like I hardly gave any direction the whole shoot. I hope you enjoy the preview, Kris!!

For Kris’ session, I wanted to try out some new/different locations. I’m thrilled with these first two- this whole series is my favorite from the day!

I love this next shot! It wasn’t exactly planned out this way- a man in a utility van drove by us and said, “Real cute, man.” I’ve gotten used to this sort of taunting, doing on-location shooting in public locations. It’s not always as easy for the subject of the shoot. But of course Kris was a great sport and thought it was funny, and that’s how this happened:

Thanks again, Kris! You rocked this session out!

{Engagement} Jaclyn & Michael

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

What a whirlwind day! I had a great time with Mike and Jackie- I’m so excited for the wedding! I am not exaggerating when I say our clients are amazing. From our first meeting, I knew these two would be so much fun to work with. I love it when you just “click” with clients like they’re old friends :)

Here’s a sneak peek from their whole-day-engagement-session-extravaganza: Chi-town. Enjoy!

Jackie I know how feel about laughing photos… but I love this one! So cute!

:)

Favorite!!

You can’t have a touristy Chicago experience without the bean!

Again; :)

Jackie, thank you for having such great style. Mike, thank you for playing the role of tour guide. I can’t wait to see you both again soon!

{Senior Session} Sarah

WOW! I really don’t know what to say about these photos- I am beyond thrilled with Sarah’s session!! She has such a great style, likes great music and I’m so glad I got to know her :) Enjoy the preview!

I love how natural this one feels- makes me happy :)

We found some amazing new locations while we were out.

My favorite :)

We ended the session with a few shots of Sarah and her dog, Wilson. Capturing a dogs attention, even for just a few seconds, is quite the task!

Thanks again, Sarah! It was so great meeting you and parents!
